I kind of jokingly stated at work the other day that I wish had an app that was motion sensitive to set off an alarm/vibration. That way, I could duct tape my iPhone to my forehead and it would keep me from nodding off on the job.

Then, I got to thinking about it. An app like this may also be useful as an iPhone theft deterrent. OK, maybe not so much. But as a "hey, don't touch my phone" alert, I think it could work. The default "Alarm" sound in the iPhone's settings would be awesome!:p

Thoughts? Solutions? I don't meet the hardware requirements of the SDK or I might have given it a shot myself.

I can think of 2 problems with the idea:

1. To work the app would have to keep the phone awake and thereby drain the battery much faster than normal.
2. To avoid setting off the alarm, the thief would just have to hit the home button .

Not very effective security lol.

Yeah, I was thinking something with a few more features like, customizable sounds and motion sensitivity. Maybe something with a little better reviews.;)

I would use this more as a show off of the iPhone's abilities rather than an actual security device.
