In case anyone was curious about this carrier or phone this is a great time to check it out. The moto g is a fantastic performing and is a great daily driver for someone who just wants a great, no frills smartphone to browse the web, run apps and send an email or two. And republic wireless has been making headlines lately with its low cost plans and the capability to call and text over wifi seemlessly

If I wasn't already on an ATT family plan where I only pay $16 a month for unlimited data on my 5s I would be all over Republic Wireless and their $10/mo unlimited voice & text plan.

Great mvno that really is looking to save money for their customers :)

One problem with Republic Wireless is it does not support short code for texting.
