Hello you nice people :)

Okay, preface: Please only give FACTS if you own a Moto G4 (preferably the NON "Play" or "Plus" variant, which is the one I am looking to buy.) I can quite easily sit on my chair and guess or debate things myself in my head and from reading "reviews" from overrated YouTubers who have used it for all of 5 hours, but since I am seeking raw, first-hand experience(s) from owners, I would prefer (but cannot prevent) uninformed (read: non-owner) comments. I am not saying non-owners should not comment in general, BUT ONLY if they're offering experience-based, spec-based or fact-based opinions - the like of which only an owner could know.

Phew!

So, as you gather, I am looking for general information, such as:

~ Does the battery hold up to 1.5-ish days of medium use?

~ How does the camera fare? (sample, full res JPEGs are very welcome :) ) - this is a BIG one, as I am a photographer

~ Is there substantial lag? (I can handle a little, I am not naive.)

~ How does it feel in the hand?

I am probably best off trying one in store, but since most stores in my tiny town probably won't have one, let along HEARD of one, this is why I am asking you nice people :)

Thank you for your comments, I appreciate all of them.

If the camera is huge plus you need to get the Plus, the camera is substantially better

Thank you, but I cannot afford any more than the model stated, nor would I consider it. That isn't me being tight, that's me having a strict budget and wanting opinions on the model I can realistically afford; you can safely say I absolutely, categorically cannot and will not be buying anything except the model stated, and for various other logistical reasons too. :)

With all respect, "substantially better" is a subjective thing based on myriad experiential criteria; what one man thinks is marvellous, another man will dismiss - likewise, what one person thinks is unacceptable image quality, another will see nothing wrong with. I do get your point - I WOULD get more, but alas, won't and cannot, that's that.

That won't change, so if we could focus on this model, I am categorically firm and unmovable on this. Many thanks :)

Seems like your mind is already made up, the G is a good phone though.

My mind is this: IF I buy any Moto G4, I will buy the model stated. That's all. I still need realistic and objective feedback, thank you.

I've had mine for a few weeks now. Overall, it's a great phone, but the battery life is only mediocre if you do a lot of browsing on it.
The display is excellent, and for a 5.5 inch device it's very nice to hold, unlike the 7s.
Everything else has been lightning fast, and I wouldn't hesitate to advise buying one. Wish I had done it sooner.
