Anyone looking at this phone at all? It’s a budget spec phone for sure, but it’s got a 5000mah battery that is supposed to be one of the best performers available today. The screen is 720p, so that’s obviously an issue for some people. 6.2” with a plastic back, so it’s not “premium”.

I’m going to run by Best Buy tomorrow to see how it feels, and how blurry the 720p screen is. I saw a review somewhere online that said it was the longest lasting phone they had ever reviewed. One drawback is the import version is 4gb of ram and 64gb storage, while the US version is 3gb ram and 32gb storage. Not sure why Moto decided to cheap out here.

#3 all time on gsmarena battery test. Not bad for $250.

So...how do you like it? At this point I’d rather add a battery case to an excellent phone than get another phone just to have one with a long lasting battery. But I am curious to know what kind of quality $250 can buy.

I just picked it up an hour ago. I had to go to a store 30 minutes from home. The nearest 2 Best Buy were sold out.

I was worried about the 720p screen, but it’s not bad! The phone has a plastic back and it does feel pretty cheap. It’s not solid like my 8+. This isn’t a negative so to speak, but you can just feel that it’s not a flagship.

I’m fully charging it and will see what kind of battery life I can get. According to gsmarena it gets insanely good battery life. Completely destroys my very good iPhone 8+.

The only thing that annoys me is the import version has an extra gb of ram and an extra 32gb storage. Storage is meaningless due to sd cards, but the extra ram is always useful on android.

I will update in a few days how long it really lasts for me in real life.

Looks like I’m going to have to return this phone. I took it out of the house today and noticed there is no LTE or any other signal. I can make voice calls and that’s it. I called T-Mobile and they said it’s not supported. Looking online it looks like there may be a T-Mobile model planned, so I’ll have to look into it. Bummer.

Edit: I just had to change the APN. The default one wasn’t right.

This is the perfect phone for a kid who is on YouTube or big into Pokemon go. I don't play games, but this battery is unreal. Tomorrow will be the real test, since I work a 16 hour shift and have horrible LTE signal there which can drain most phones.

First Saturday in the book. This is mostly all on WiFi. I'm gonna see how far I can push it. At this point, this is the best $250 I've spent in a long time. Highly recommend this phone as a backup or for kids! I wouldn't give up my 8+ for it, though.

On pace for 20h of SOT. This phone is a must own for people who keep a second phone or play a lot of games. I don't play games, but apparently this is the phone to own for Pokemon go.
