For those on AT&T, yes you are going to get 4.4.4. I can personally confirm this. Hopefully, T-Mobile users will as well, but I can not confirm that.

And it has been confirmed by Motorola Executive Punit Soni that Android "L"ollipop is also coming to the Moto X. He just verified it on Google+ today.

Just a quick update for those interested.

I had the update yesterday (I'm in the UK) and they have improved the software for the camera! And I don't mean the UI, it looks to have actually improved image quality. I'm wondering if I'm just seeing things though, so when others get the update please take a snap and tell me I'm not going mad :)

May have altered the post processing reducing the amount of heavy jpg compression it had before. Tinkering with that alone would improve quality :)

I'll be getting my moto x next week so I'll take a snap or two before I check software update and update it to 4.4.4 :)

That makes sense. Enjoy the phone when it turns up, it's a great bit of kit :)

4.4.4 was available for my unlocked European model straight out of the box.

How do you take screenshots on the moto x ?

I agree! When it comes to 'bloatware' across the android system, those are probably the least useful but easily the most fun. I really enjoy them on the phone :)

What do you think of the camera?

It's OK / serviceable. It doesn't excel in anyway - but I haven't found it as truly appaling as some have said. The phones other strengths more than make up for it, but I find it about on par with the M8.
