Since upgrading to Catalina my 4pre no longer work. Seems MOTU were late getting their drivers ported over to 64 bit. There is an update available now (was posted on Jan 2nd). Anyone install with 100% success or is this thing still beta?

Since what you have now no longer works, what harm is there in trying the beta...?

What a useless response, but thanks for trying. As for "what harm.." If you've ever installed 3rd party software, drivers, extensions you should know that they can cause havoc on a stable system. Before I install MOTU's audio driver update for Catalina I prefer to check and see if other Mac users have encountered problems.

your pre no longer works. fishrrnan made a simple suggestion: try the beta driver. it can't be worse than it is, and may likely be better. go for it!

Hahaha! I was hoping to hear from some actual users here on MacRumors. My audio interface not working is one thing but the entire OS not working is much worse. MOTU's driver is not beta, apparently it's their final release. Guys over at the MOTU forum are reporting mixed issues with the Catalina driver. So I'll wait, but thanks.

is there a moto forum? perhaps you can find some catalina users there. meanwhile, (& you should start a seperate thread for it), what's wrong with the OS?

make sure, too, that the microphone is enabled (in system preferences>security & privacy) for your DAW (ie logic, etc).

if it were me, i'd install the motu driver; not sure what you're worried about... anyway, good luck!
