Mountain Lion and Yahoo messenger help

Hi,

I just bought a new iMac, coming from a PC and it has Mountain Lion on it. I also downloaded yahoo messenger 3.2, but the chat rooms don't load up. Installed it and reinstalled but still nothing. Is this a bug, or is there a way to fix this?

Might be related, but I have no access to Yahoo mail.... web or mail.app
