Mountain Lion - apps

I heard that apple will try to control the apps installed on Macs from now on. will I be able to install third party apps via CD or other methods? also, has adobe put their mac products on the mac app store yet or do we have the flexibility to install those on our will? thanks.

Now that Apple's selected a 1950's style desk calendar, at least they could include a free Mont Blanc Pen with each new laptop or desktop they sell.

There was no such thing as a Stylus in 1950, so at least they could give us a pen. I wonder how it will work on a MBP screen ...LOL
