Hello everyone,

I just purchased a new Mac pro and I believe it comes shipped with mountain lion installed. Does anyone know if final cut pro 7 will still work with this update? If not then I guess it's time for me to move on with fcpX.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks everyone for your replies! I called apple to verify this and they were not able to come up with a for sure answer.. Now i don't have anything to worry about!

Hey guys - any idea if I would be able to install FCP (if I've never had it installed before) on my laptop - which is running on Mountain Lion? I keep getting the error message "You can't open the application Final Cut Studio pro.mpkg because Power PC applications are no longer supported."

What version of FCP do you have?

I don't think you can run it if it was written for Power PC.

OSX Lion already dropped support for Rosetta (program neede to run PPC software), so I do not think ML will be able to run PPC FCP.

Because that's not Final Cut Pro 7.
