I have a spring 2011 MacBook Pro running Lion Intel i7 2.3 GHz with SSD. The ML installer says it can't install a recovery system and aborts. It says click to restart with the previous system, but when it reboots the installer launches. Not sure how to disable the installer, and I am squeamish about interrupting a partial installation. Can anyone help?

Reboot and while it's starting up hold down Option and you should be able to choose what disk to boot to.

Thank you, but I tried that and (unless I have another drive connected) it only gives one option, which is the drive containing 10.7.4 but when I boot from that it launches the installer and around the loop I go.
