Well this was a plan in late June that starts now.
i will post my experiences here and will only use MtLion on 2 macs
along with an iPod touch and non airplay for entertainment and no icloud, that is already arrid and has 45mb of info.
the only pre 2013  i will use is an 2023 iPad for drawing cartoons then usb_c to my devices.

this thread is more a reveling that complaining one that we can use 12 year old  computers today.

so far everything is perfect as i can perform everyday tasks better since that older software suits my needs perfectly. i know i can use this OSX for quite more months and be happy.

I run into a problem were something happened to the m2012 Macbook Pro as a cat of mine jumped (I think, since there is evidence of some cat fur on the keyboard) on the track-pad or keyboard were things go haywire as the Macbook is not functional after some time and of course i need a One 5.6 mm Tri-point screw which i forgot was needed to remove the battery, which are hard to find. Looks like that MBP will be out of commission for a week or more.

i will try to continue on using Mountain Lion but need a second screen while developing a new website to check the edits and functions as the mac mini mostly get used for videos and music as i might need to unbox the MBA M1 2020 to finish the website therefor postponing this experiment until things are back in order.

Ahh, August!

the new M1 Macbook air and mini are shelved until maybe 2026?
just upgrading those to Monterey last week was mundane and boring
and i was going to use M1s those more, but now, not all!

I am really pleased with my  set up tho some might not agree this is a healthy set-up
due to the "Be Afraid....very afraid"  is persuading the sheep every month.

What prolonged the mountain lion set up as only OSX is iTunes 11.4 air-playing to those blue home-pods minis
and the use of CS4 still functional in 2024. also Firefox legacy is streaming cycling now
which did yesterday for the 7-plus hour men's road race without a stop or spinning ball or a silly interruption.
somehow Monetery-Sonoma failed to perform that this year.

anyways i'm happy, not bothered or pleaded to and productive!

Well i will hopefully only use my 3 macs running on Mountain Lion for the rest of the year.
Since the software like itunes, VCL and sometime quicktime seems to send a signal to the 3 mini homepods,
i can watch or listen to anything without interruption form these computers which is why i am doing this 2012 set up anyways. Somehow Monterey-Sonoma either stopped playing an album or jumped to screen saver while watching a cycling or euro football game.

everything is just better on mountain lion!
