Okay, so i'm testing out OS 10 today,

And as i start it up, i can't mount my SCSI drive,

The ATA mounted fine

and my Firewire external mounted fine,
but i don't see the SCSI, since i'm new to this OS (just moved from 9.2) i'm not really sure how to find the disk and mount it, some help would be appreciated.,

thanks - revenuee

If your Mac has a Mac UWSCSI card you might of had to update the SCSI firmware. Also make sure you have a terminater on your SCSI drive. If your SCSI drive is internal then you shouldn't worry about that. Try opening Disc Utility. (You can find it under Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > Disc Copy) Try seeing if your drive shows up there.

Also what version of Mac OS X Do you have? 10.0? 10.1? or "Jaguar" 10.2?

If you have Mac OS 10.0 or 10.1 they might not support SCSI drives, I am not sure but they were early OS versions so they might have lacked that feature. If anything 10.1 should be able to do it. If you have 10.0 or 10.1 (or even 10.2) I recomend you upgrade to Panther (Mac OS X 10.3) coming out on October 24th www.apple.com/macosx

tell me more about your machine specs and information

Hope I helped... :)

Okay i'm running a G4 400 (APG Graphics)
with 832 MB ram

i'm running 10.2

I have a Quantum ATA harddrive 10 gig
I have a Seagate Cheetah 18.6 GIG SCSI
I have a Lacie 80 gig firewire drive

I have two SCSI interface cards installed, one runs the Harddrive, and the other is used to run my scanner ( i know that inorder to get my scanner to work i had to download adaptec drivers 2406 under OS 9 - but when i did this for OS 10 it wouldn't let me BOOT into 10 only 9, so i had to delete these files and then the computer worked fine again)

i'm not sure what my SCSI interface cards are however, i can't find the documentation,

This is the information in System Profiler

SLOT-C

if their is anything else you need, please let me know and i'll try to dig it up

Hmmm I dunno what could be wrong. Sorry umm...try switching the scanner and HD around, ummm, try taking out a SCSI card or something I have no idea why this would happen, maybe someone here will know it, sorry man:(
