I want to have a network/NAS path/drive mounted so upon startup its in Finder.

I connected to my NAS drive via Finder CMD+K, then drag/dropped the drive into my Users&Groups > Login Items.

It seems to mount fine upon startup, but I get this error even though it is mounted. Any help would be appreciated.

Like you mine shows connected but it technically isn't. I was once told just to create an automator action to connect it. Someone else may have a much better idea.

This is one way I've used in the past.

Select System Preferences
Users and groups
Login Tab (make sure the padlock is open).
Click on the + sign on the lower middle section
UsersGroups.png

Navigate to the NAS, shared folder and click add.

That will then remount your NAS every time you login (provided you saved the password in your keychain.

This is what I did and im getting the error in my first post ALTHOUGH it mounts. The error is super annoying, even though it mounts.

This looks like a certificate problem to me. How are you connecting to your NAS? If via WebDav, you might need to check your NAS's certificate as "trusted" first. At least I kept getting these messages until then.

Run Safari and log into your NAS control panel (via the same URL as you would mount your shares). Safari should pop up a window, asking you about the certificate.

Hope it helps. I'm using Synology DS1812+.

Im using the USB Readyshare via my netgear r6300 router.

If I go to it in my browser, I dont get any certificate messages, it just takes me to the directory as usual. Screenshots attached.

Well I figured out another way of doing it all by myself lol.

Used automator to make a custom app which I use in my login items. Seems to work with no issues.
