The original mouse with my MacBook Pro gave it up and I purchased a Magic Mouse 2. It works but it gives me wrist pain for some reason, the original mouse I had with my MBP didn't at all. Can you still buy the original mouse online somewhere, much prefer it to the Magic Mouse 2.

No have never owned the Mighty Mouse, just the original mac mouse before the Magic Mouse Came out. I have seen reviews that you cannot use the MX Master with the built-in Bluetooth receiver in the MacBook Pro from 2011 (mine is 2011). The MX master uses a newer version of the Bluetooth standard. Not sure how accurate this is or an isolated issue.

The mouse before the Magic Mouse was the Mighty Mouse. Before that was the Apple Wireless mouse which looked like the Mighty Mouse, but without a scroll wheel.

Are you looking for wireless? If so, is a USB dongle OK or do you want Bluetooth?
