Mouse issues with Imac 24'

Posted several days ago about color issues along with mouse issues....My color issues are getting better but the mouse is driving me crazy...Its best to say it sparatic but annoying..]

First this is a wired mouse and does not seem smooth at all...I like for the mouse to move fast so that is the only adjustment made out of the box. At times my pointer can be in the left upper portion of the screen clicking on files settings, but will suddenly drop the the lower right hand portion of the screen. This happens without me moving the mouse in that direction at all...It occurs about 3-4 times within 1/2 hour perios....Im using a regular mouse pad also and mouse optics look clean to me. Mouse is connected to back of monitor. This is the 2nd Imac having this problem in 1 week period.

Any Suggestions

It's a Mighty Mouse isn't it?

Dump it and buy yourself a Logitech.

I run the MX Revolution wireless, simply flawless.

Sounds like a bad mouse mat.. some mice just don't like some mats. Try using a sheet of blank white paper (not glossy!) under the mouse, see if that fixes it. If it does, it's time for a new mat.
