So now that I got my new Mini today I need a good mouse to go with it, using an old gaming mouse right now but its not supported by Apple so just has basic stuff, I want a fully supported corded USB mouse. Any suggestions?

You should look for one that feels right in your hand.
I started using Logitech before Apple released OS X, and that's always a brand that I recommend that you should look at.
I do try to avoid software that a mouse might come with, if possible. Apple's native mouse drivers are usually just fine with just about any mouse (but not always the extra buttons that some mouses have)

Why have you got a preference for corded?
For what it's worth, I've been using an MS Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 a simple two button plus scroll wheel mouse for at least three years and it still looks/performs as new. The MS IntelliPoint 8.2 software (installed in System Prefs) is rock solid, although I can't claim to have tried any exotic application-specific button assignments.

Last time I've used a Ms wireless mouse/keyboard my screensaver refused to work
Pulled the mouse/keyboard out: screensaver worked
Guess Microsoft windows 7 wasn't compatible with Microsoft
and yes I did update win 7 & the drivers
I use a Logitech G700, Logitech came out with drivers and config software for OS X not too long ago and I gave it a shot, but ended up going back to Steer Mouse for the driver and configurability of the buttons.

Something like the G700 is both. Corded and charges while connected, also has a wireless transceiver stored in the battery compartment. Best of both worlds.
When I finally got my mac mini a few weeks ago I also got the apple usb numeric keyboard (which I really like) wish it was backlit. I used my previous dell monitor and my logitech 510 wireless mouse. When I plugged my receiver of my mouse into the usb 3.0 to the mini it started acting erratic, searched and found others also with same problem. So when my apple board came I switched and put the receiver into that since it's usb 2.0 and it works better so I'm thinking it didn't like the usb 3.0. However my scroll wheel is wearing out so I'd like to get a new one but don't know what model to get, I like logitech mouses. I tried the apple magic mouse at the store but didn't think it was much better than my logitech. I also didn't like the trackpad at the store. I'd never go back to a wired mouse. My mac mini recognized my logitech right away.
Thanks guys for the suggestions, as for liking corded, just a habit as well as I have two small girls who like to play at daddy's computer I don't want to search around for a wireless mouse when I want to use the computer I'm currently using a Logitech G5 mouse but its not listed as a compatible supported mac mouse, just very basic stuff. I'll take a look around at the suggestions you guys mentioned.

If the mouse has extra buttons, you have a very good chance of making them "come alive" by using either "USB Overdrive" or "SteerMouse"...

I use a Corsair M45. There are no OSX drivers for this mouse but you only need those to do the initial configuration. I configured the mouse in bootcamp and saved the configuration to the mouse itself and it works great in OSX
After doing the configuration in windows, can you still use the extra buttons on the side in osx?

I have a Logitech V470 bluetooth that I have used for about 5 years with my iMac. It has two buttons and a scroll wheel and it just works - all the time. Did I mention it is white and goes very well with the Mac keyboards?

Razor Orochi 2013, both corded and bluetooth. Will handily chew through AA batteries on bluetooth though, else all the buttons work fine in OSX (use BTT if you want to reprogram them).

Yup, I can confirm this now. Went out and bought an M65 today, I'm using the sniper button for mission control and the forward and back buttons for... forward and back.
