For your laptop, do you mainly use or prefer to use the trackpad or a mouse?
I'm very comfortable with both the trackpad or mouse.

I move around a lot, even around the house, and sit in odd locations like on the couch, bed, etc...and I find the mouse to be a hassle to carry around or use. So, I've been forcing myself to use the trackpad. However, I still get the urge to grab for a mouse just to get that feeling of "more control". Sounds strange right?

So what have you resorted to...mouse or trackpad?

Just to clarify for voting: Which do you use mainly, despite your preference?

this is not really a good question...i prefer a mouse, BUT my situation calls for the main use of a trackpad, so thats what i voted for, when my mbp is sitting at home i use my mighty mouse...but i use the system more sitting on the couch...so, yeah i picked trackpad

depends on what I'm doing. if i'm just sitting around surfing the web or something, I just use the trackpad. But if I'm editing or using photoshop where I need more precise control, I use my bluetooth v270.

because the trackpad on the macs is so huge, I find it to be a pleasure to use. I also feel like I have perfect control (in terms of right clicking, dragging, etc,). all around the trackpad, especially the scrolling feature, works really great. I do notice that some people who have never used a trackpad have a REALLY hard time using it. I showed my friend the laptop and he started swatting at it instead of using his finger! lol

my mouse stays on my desk. When I'm at my desk, I use my mouse, when I'm not, I use the trackpad. I would never shlep a mouse around with me, especially when the MB/MBP trackpad is very high quality (I've used some PC laptops that have awful trackpads that I would want to avoid using)

Using either one is fine with me. If I have a mouse handy, I will use it. If I don't, I will just use the trackpad on my MBP. That being said, I have to use the trackpad until my new Wireless Mighty Mouse comes in. Then I will use it from then on.

Since I use my laptop mostly on my desk I use my MM all the time. When I'm on the go the trackpad.

General use, Trackpad. Photoshop or something that requires detail, i'll bring my 6x11 Intuos3 tablet out :)

I'm in love with my Mighty Mouse. Other mice just don't measure up, that teeny scroll wheel is wonderful, others are just bulky and unnecessary! With regular cleaning I'm determined to keep away the issues of the ball not scrolling in some directions.

However, it stays at my desk. I am at my desk a lot so I use it primarily, plus my wireless keyboard. But when I'm not at my desk I use the track pad.

It's gotta be the trackpad as my preference. It's the closest thing I have to a touchscreen... but for those precise works, I prefer a mouse... for some reason it's just more accurate.

I use my mouse as much as possible. It is far more accurate, and moves faster across the screen. However, I don't mind using my mbp's trackpad because it is nice and large. PC laptops are notorious for having small trackspads with too many buttons, all waiting to be accidentally pushed. The simple 1 or 2 finger approach to the Macbook/Macbook Pro trackpads is genius.

You don't have enough options for me to vote. If I'm at a desk I use a mouse, but if I am anywhere else I use the trackpad. So, my vote, if the option existed, would be "it depends". ;)

i got my new mbp before 4 days and didnt have have enough money for the VX revolution mouse...so once i get it i know i wil prefer using it.
