Mouse Scroll Wheel Doesn't Work With Illustrator CS3?

It works on the file I'm working on but not the layers and stuff... Get's annoying when I get a lot of layer. Is this only me?

Would like to help but your post is not clear enough to me. Scroll wheel works on the file, but not on the layers palette? Or works on one layer of the file and not on other layers?

Please explain.

scrolling doesn't work in any of the palettes. SO annoying!!!

same problem here, [with 2-finger-scrollfunction on trackpad]
cs3 on leopard on a PPC
PS performs fine, illus palettes [eg; layers] do not scroll.

Well, I don't think they have ever worked...maybe Adobe hasn't gotten around to fixing it or just plain making it work. I've noticed that on some other programs, where you have a pallet, pop-up window or menu with a scroll bar, it also doesn't work...some do, some don't. Can't recall exactly which programs, but will take note as I use them and post back.

Seeing how Acrobat Distiller STILL only uses one processor core, no matter how many you have, I'd say that's probably the case.

Still, Quark was worse...

hmm.. i haven't thought about that yet. honestly i must say, i havent noticed this before [from v.8/9] but indeed, it could be..
weird. probably they have a reason for this. although it would be a lot more user friendly.

ow i have to say that all-direction-panning with 2 fingers on the trackpad works flawlessly. glad they fixed that!
