I just connected my bluetooth mouse to my iPad for the first time. I have to say that i really enjoy this while traveling. Having the ipad on the desk and the mouse on my knee makes it really relaxing.

However i have a few isssues that i am unsure if i can solve.
1. How do i invert the scroll wheel? I want it to be similar to my desktop PC and to have that feeling i need to invert the scrollwheel.

2. Is there anyway to bind the mouse 4 and mouse 5 button to back and foward when using safari?

3. How can i trigger open in new tab when i click on a link?

1. You cannot

2. You cannot

3. I apologise, I think you cannot, but you might have luck by playing with custom gestures. :-/

Good questions... I wish I could give nice answers for them. Hopefully Apple will add more options for mouse control in the future.

In case you are not aware you can long press the mouse to bring up the contextual menu (I.e. for opening link in new tab etc, but unfortunately that isn’t a direct 1 click gesture). Alternatively you could grab and hold the link and drag it to the + button to open in a new tab or drag to the side of the screen to open in split view.

There are some very limited options for setting custom buttons but I’m unsure what they are as I’m not on the beta. I think you can set alternative to long press such as right click.
