I'm trying to convert some older .mov files to mpeg4 files. I tried with both Toast 14 and MacX Video Converter Pro and got the same results.

Both program say they are converting the .mov files, but when you open the 'converted' file you see the initial second of video and then the video freezes. The audio continues and is fine.

I tried both with the original .mov files and then I "converted" the .mov files with Quick time--i.e., I opened the .mov file in Quick time, it said it was "converting" and then I saved the "converted" file. Same issue, and when I ran any of these "converted" files through Toast or MacX Video Converter Pro I got the same result I described.

Any thoughts?

No idea what it's doing, but I use Quicktime 7 Pro or Adobe Media Encoder for all my file conversions.
