OK I have Microsoft Excel on my desktop which has private info on it. My desktop is very old so i am giving it away. But i need to save this info and add it on my Macbook Pro. So i installed Excel [Photo} but i don't know how to get it from the desktop to the Macbook.

If you and external drive you can copy the excel files there and then copy them back to the new computer. If there's a lot to copy then might be worth putting them on the same network so that you can move them across.

I'd like you to clarify if the excel app is the one that has your private info (in "user info" I'd surmise), or if you are referring to some info on .xls files.

Please elaborate so we can try to help you.
