Is there any way to stick with the UK localisation but keep using "Move to Trash"?

Trashing is just a much richer word, whereas bin is the sort of short, stubby Anglo-Saxon lipflick that is doubtless going to result in me failing to prune my downloads folder as regularly.

It's not even consistent. I saw a dialog box that still used 'Trash'. Can't remember where though.

AFAIK, the "trash" v "bin" label is tied to the localization... unless there's some deep, dark tweak, I think you're stuck with either living with "bin" or using a different region setting.

It's not consistent throughout the OS. Mainly now "bin", which is fine, but there are parts of the finder interface that use trash. Ive seen it a couple of times but couldn't find it again for the purpose of this post...

Any news on If this is possible? I know its sounds trivial but I want the trash back!

Man it took me a while to notice it, but after a long overdue desktop spring cleaning I was like whaaaa? Haha typical apple, fiddling with the small details but forgetting to optimise cooling for 6 core processors.. :p

Presumably, you could replace the relevant .strings files (likely within /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app) and update the strings.

It goes without saying that this is not possible without disabling or circumventing the system-file protections and is not permanent either.
