In iTunes while trying to organize my movies I see that movies that I bought from iTunes get a really cool description and the PG-13 (or Whatever) rating in the name. The descriptions are longer and all the info shows up on the AppleTV like producer and director.

I see also in iTunes the info marker is on in the description and a lot of that info is there.

How on a Windows PC do I get these cool things. I would like the ratings as I have 6 kids under the age of 12 in my home and this would help a bit.

Oh and I also have the OCD that makes me want to keep my 510 movies and 23 TV show organized.

I would say MetaX, I just found out about it a few days ago, but thats Mac only. I'm not sure there are any options for Windows to do that. MetaX is great. Handbrake+MetaX=winning combination.

I've been using VideoTag on the PC for quite a while with great success. The only problem is the 4GB file size limit. This isn't VideoTag's issue, it's AtomicParsley that is the engine under the hood. The AP project has been dormant for a while and I don't know if there is any PC solution for tagging HD files which are easily 4GB+

My understanding is that Metax will actually look up the film/tv show info (like iTunes will for Cds) but videotag won't, you have to manually input them. Is that correct?

MetaX will automatically look up the info from Amazon and Data Chimp.

It's a pain, but you can always do it manually. Just select the movie/TV show and hit Ctrl+I (Get Info). Then add the info in the appropriate fields.

The Windows Version has been in beta for a while now. I have been testing it and for me it is pretty much complete. I would do a seach on this forum for more information.

I looked up my original reply to this:

Good News. Dan Hinsley is working on the Windows Version of MetaX. It is in a early Beta Status. I have been testing it and it looks pretty good so far. Dan said that if you would like to test it you can email him directly. (for spam protection => danhi at cox.net)
