Please dont flame me if this has been posted already. I searched and found nothing.

Does anyone know if you can download movie rentals for offline viewing? Or do you have to be connected to the internet? It would be great to download some movies for those overseas flights.

Cheers.

i dont think anyone knows yet. I am running itunes 7.6 and have yet to see a movie rental button.

concidering you can transfer the rental to your iPod and iPhone, I cant see why you can't do offline viewing. It says you have 30 days to start viewing so im sure you can que a few up, toss em on the iPod and than watch them within the 24 hours from start. He did say there was an iPod update to cover that portion so offline viewing makes sense.

Definitely will be available offline. No need to always be connected.
