Moving applications from iPhone to computer

I recently re-installed Leopard on my machine, clean install. I forgot about my iPhone in this process...all the applications I downloaded are gone. Is there a way to move them from my phone, onto iTunes? When I try it in iTunes it says it wants to delete from the phone and put the applications in my iTunes onto the phone (there are none in iTunes)

Log in iTunes using your account and then Transfer Purchases. File => Transfer Purchases from xxx
