Hello everyone -

I've had a Movable Type 3.x blog for a while now and have grown frustrated with the comment spam and the huge PITA it is to make simple layout changes.

I have purchased Dreamweaver CS3 for another website I'm working on and am wondering if I should try and figure out a workflow to edit my MT templates and index file through DW or try a different blogging software package?!?

Would moving to MT 4 make any difference?

Is there some DW extension that would let me blog via DW?

Is there another blogging software package that better integrates with DW?

Thanks for any info. Tried Google and didn't get many answers!

I use MT 3.2 and actually I find the template system great and totally easy to modify (hint, use template modules for things like headers, footers and sidebars).

As for spam there are plenty of easy-install plugins that you can use to block spam.

I wouldn't trust any blogging software that easily integrates with any WYSIWYG editor or one that functions like one (.mac/iWeb included). Real software and MT is one of the better ones is much more versatile and powerful.
