I have a USB to USB-C cable, so I’ll connect them directly.

My library consists of imported CDs, from over the years.

Can someone please tell me how I go about doing this?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your responses.

However, I’ll not use Migration Assistant as I only want to copy my iTunes library.

I've watched a number of YouTube videos, but they all seem to be different in various ways.

I’ve done it before, manually, by adding playlists one at a time, but it takes hours.

Migration assistant will let you limit the data transfer to just your music library. You're presented with a series of checkboxes. If you only check the music library, that's all that moves.
Thanks for the info.

Digressing, I’m contemplating cancelling my M1 MBP order and getting the same config MBA.

I‘ve ordered a 512 16.

The only reason I’m thinking of the MBA is because I think it will be more comfortable to type on, what with the tapered design. However, the Pro has its pros (no pun intended) with its better speakers and mics, faster charger, larger battery, brighter screen etc.

What have you gone with, if you have?

And thanks again.

Since 2011 I had the Air, but in 2016 I switched to the MacBook Pro because of its Retina display (which the Airs did not then have). I now have a 2019 MacBook Pro (and an M1 Mac Mini). The current MacBook Air would fulfill my needs perfectly, but if upgrade my notebook to M1 I'll probably get a MacBook Pro primarily because I have come to like the Touch Bar. The extra battery life would just be a bonus. I don't have any problems typing on the Pro, and I don't think I would notice any difference between the two keyboards.

I’ve never even tried the Touch Bar, but I’m looking forward to getting to grips with it.

Something tells me I’m going to like it.
