I’m keen to give Apple Music a go but I’m heavily invested in Amazon Music with a modest library (4300+ songs).

Is there an easy way to migrate my entire library over to Apple Music?

The only paid for migration services I can find do not include moving songs/artists from Amazon Music to Apple Music.

It seems only playlists can be copied however I don’t have playlists setup.

Advice will be appreciated on how I can move over painlessly.

Thanks in advance.

A hack would be to select everything in your library and add it to a single massive playlist and then migrate that.

Did you pick a particular migration service? If so, which one and how did you like it? I'm in the same boat as you except I DO have playlists (including one that has all my purchased music and one that has all the music I added to library).

Amazon Music is a steaming pile on my new macbook. It runs at 172% processor and the whole thing gets warm just sitting idle and not even playing music with no network activity. That pushed me to finally try Apple Music. Hoping the Apple Music carplay will be less buggy too for a bonus.

I ended up manually moving music one by one lol. It took a weekend to do the bulk of it and I’m still doing odd bits here and there.

Apple Music works well on CarPlay in my car but I can’t vouch for others.

Sounds like you got it done, but for others who may come across this thread, SongShift is probably the easiest way to sync Apple Music with other services.

I'm a little nervous about giving my apple and amazon account info to a third party. I guess you basically do it and then force log out everything and change your password?

You don’t give SongShift your password. Instead, you login to iTunes on Apple’s servers. It’s done via an api that’s presented inside the app, so it does look like you’re giving it to them, but it’s safe. It’s the same as any other app, such as Sonos, that you’d link to iTunes. Google OAuth if you want to know more about it.

I use this: https://soundiiz.com

Works flawlessly. Saved me a LOT of time when going from Spotify to Apple Music. It works for Amazon Music as well.

Didn't read this. Yikes. Whatever works, I suppose.

I've used this as well with great success.
