I like how AirPods remain connected to my Mac, Watch, and iPhone all the time. On Mac it’s great that you can just choose the audio output button in the toolbar and select Air Pods, to bring them over from outputting your iPhone audio to outputting your Mac audio.

But is there a quick way to do this on your iPhone? If your Air Pods are outputting Mac audio, can you pick up your iPhone and quickly bring your Air Pods back to your iPhone audio?

The only way I’ve been able to accomplish this so far is to disconnect them on the iPhone’s Bluetooth and then reconnect. It would be great if you could simply Force Touch the volume (the way you do to get certain Air Pods settings) to choose iPhone output device (built-in speaker, AirPods, etc).

Use the Airplay icon on whichever APP you are listening to Ie. Music or third party APPs. It looks like three circles with a pointing up play arrow in the center. Very simple.....

Thanks for the info. I actually realized, and this is related to your recommendation, that the Control Center audio section has a little icon on the top right - sometimes the Air Play icon, sometimes another - that allows you to select which audio device to output to. So that's basically the iPhone version of the Mac toolbar audio output selector.
