Other Moving from one iOS version to an older one

Hi all,

My dad asked me about this earlier & have no idea about it.

If I wish to migrate from an iPhone running iOS 15 to a different older iPhone model running an older iOS version (say, 13), does this still work using a Mac / iCloud? If not, how would I do this?

By migrate do you mean restore from a backup? If so, you can't, based on your parameters. The device you want to restore to has to be running the same version of iOS or a version of iOS that is newer than that of the backup.

Further, if the device you want to restore to has less capacity than the previous device you might run into problems.

To add to what @eyoungren as said. You also won't be able to do a iPhone to iPhone transfer from a device with a newer iOS to one that has an older iOS.
