Got this email from Apple this morning

"Thanks for participating in the OS X Yosemite Beta Program. As you know, OS X Yosemite brings an elegant redesign, continuity features for using your Mac, iPhone, and iPad together, and major enhancements to the apps you use every day. And it’s now available for free from the Mac App Store.

Get OS X Yosemite

Please install the release version of OS X Yosemite. As a member of the OS X Beta Program, you will continue to be offered beta versions of OS X software updates on any Mac that you installed the beta on. However, if you prefer to stop receiving beta updates, please click here.

Thanks again for helping us make OS X even better.
The OS X Team
"

Does this mean we should install Yosemite from the Mac App Store. Clicked to download it but it said that it is already installed (although it did give the option of downloading the installer again).

The question is, if Apple continues to release beta versions of the updates, will I be rolled into that or should I force a download and install of the public release to move off the beta program

I downloaded and installed the release version over the PB but I still have the Feedback Assistant. Anyone know if this should still be there or if I somehow didn't get a fresh install?

Thanks!

Use AppClean or something to get rid of it, thats what I did before I did the fresh install, cleaned up nicely, install went great.

I have read though that you have to be careful using a program like AppClean as it is possible to remove files that you don't want to remove. For that very reason I've always been hesitant to use them.

I need to google how to do the fresh install, I've never done that before and probably should!

Once you install Public Release Software from Beta program you "lose" per se the Feedback app that was in Beta software unless you're a dev then .. Devs still got their "Dev Portal" to apple engineers etc ...

FeedBack assist app is Beta only use app..

Not on my iMac. Like the OP, it's still here, sitting on my dock, even after installing the Mac App Store version.

Hopefully 10.10.1 finally removes it.
