Apologies if this is in the wrong area.

Heres my situation.

Moved from Canada to Australia 4 years ago. Have been using my Canadian Apple ID to download apps since then but have had an Australian ID to download Aus-specific content (banking, etc.).

I've recently decided to make Aus my home for the foreseeable future and want to change country for my ID. I know Apple has a support page for this and I've read it. My questions are:

1. I've looked through my app history and there are several apps that I've paid for (or in app purchases to unlock premium versions, etc.) - Will I lose these (apps/purchases) if I change countries?

2. I don't play many games but I do play Clash of Clans...a lot. I've done in-app purchases once only. - Will I lose the game progress and have to start from scratch (in which case I'll quit playing)

3. Is there a work-around to this? I got tired of changing to my Aus-account every now and then. I'm not sure, but every time I changed accounts, I'd have apps to update all of a sudden, which led me to believe they were NOT updating when I wasn't logged in, even though they were on my iPhone + iPad. Is this the case?

Ps. Yes I have an Australian billing address/credit card so that is not an issue
 
1. No.

2. Apps can't look at your iTunes account region so it doesn't matter.

3. You may have downloaded those apps on one account but not on the other, apps will only update if the account where it was purchased on is logged in. Since iOS 6 or 7 you can log in multiple accounts on the same device.
 
The only apps you will have an issue with a tv apps that are region locked. Other than that you'll be fine.
 
So if I understand this correctly:

I won't lose any Game Center progress by switching countries but keeping the Apple ID and Game Center ID the same

My apps that I purchased on my Aus account will continue to not update unless I re-download them on the Canadian account (the one which I'm changing the region).

Any apps that I paid for with my Canadian account will not be deleted once I change regions.

Apple says they will not show up in my purchase history. Does that mean if I restore my phone or get a new one etc they won't show in the App Store with the cloud icon? I'll have to pay for them again if for instance I get another iDevice
