Hey all,

I just sold my MBA and need to move my iWeb data to my new MBP. I want to make sure I grab all the appropriate files. Can you folks point me in the right direction?

If I remember correctly (I recently moved to a new MBP) all you need to grab is the single file stored in username/library/application support/iWeb/

(And move it to the same location on the new computer.)

because the domain file is a little ticklish, I suggest that you change the permissions on the original computer before moving the file.

Can you be more specific with this. I'm a newbie and not sure exactly what you mean.

I wouldn't worry about that unless you run into problems, just move that file to its new location and double-click it to open in iWeb on your MBP.

If you have any problems just post something here and I'm sure someone will be able to help.

(Permissions are a Unix thing that determine who can view/edit/run files. I didn't have any permissions issues when moving this file.)

Do you have both machines available now? If so, just go for it! (Connecting wirelessly to your old computer is probably the easiest way to transfer.)
