Moving local music library to new Mac

My main music library is run from an external drive on my iMac. I've just tried to move this to a Laptop which ive done numerous times in iTunes but on Catalina none of the artwork is showing.

I can't figure out how to move the artwork along to my laptop? it's driving me mad!

By chance did you also set Music to locate the iTunes Library.itl and Extras.itdb files? I'm sure there maybe more as I don't use external drive for my library.

Yeah I did all that. I've now found the artwork folder in library/container folder and moved this to my laptop but its just not reading.

It seems a bit of a disaster and can't believe apple haven't addressed this. I can't find any info on how to fix it online either.

Potential solution with a script ... though ensure you have a backup!
