Hi People,

Im about to move Logic 8 from my Macbook Pro (2008) to a iMac mid 2010. I would like to avoid reinstalling as it takes half a day. Anybody got good/bad experiences with either doing an oldschool drag n drop or using Migration Assistant, when it comes to Logic 8 (or 9)? Its not a big issue to reinstall, but cutting the time used down to half would really help me get going.

Thanks in advance.

Because of all the places it installs stuff, it would really be better to do a full install. It wouldn't be faster really to move files over. Also, on a new iMac it wouldn't be half a day for isntalling. I installed Logic 8 on a 24" iMac in 3 hours including all the add ons last summer. Knowing how much better my mid 2010 iMac is, I bet it will take around 2 hours or less.

Good luck though!
