Hi

Struggling on this, hopefully someone can help.

I have the old Apple mobileme (prior to iCloud) e-mail account xxxxxxx@me.com and I'm trying to set this up on my Android.
I've reset password as I thought I'd forgotten password and I've also followed this video:
Still Gmail app won't accept settings for my xxxxxxx@me.com e-mailed account, any help appreciated!
Thanks!

I use Edison mail on Android with my Mac email and it works well. Not sure how to fix your Gmail, but Edison works well and pushes too.

For iCloud email, I recommend using Aqua Mail. If you use aliases with iCloud, Aqua Mail handles them nicely. I have a few me.com and mac.com email addresses I'm not ready to give up yet.

I think you may need to set an app specific password before it will work:

Outlook is the best client mail app I have ever used. Absolutely love what they have done with it.

It was my go to email client as well under very recently. I tried Spark on iOS and it's even better--sadly not available on Android. Outlook is still really good, better on iOS than Android though, IMO.

To use your iCloud email on Android you have to use an App Specific password from Apple (if you use 2fa on apple).

Sign in to my devices on apple and choose security and generate and app specific password and use this as the password in your Android email client of choice.
