I currently have a Mac mini with an external HDD and on the drive is my music library of MP3s along with an alias for each song. I would like to copy the MP3s onto a Macbook Pro without bringing the aliases for each song (just the MP3s). Can someone describe in detail how I can accomplish this?

I would open up a Finder window, navigate to the iTunes Music folder, then hit Command-F and search by Kind, Music. That should give you only the music files, then drag them wherever you want to go.
