space is very tight on my startup drive ....

and a lot of that space (more than 10%) is being taken up by my MAIL folder ...

question: is there any way to move the mail archive to another hard drive? keep the app on the startup, but the mail content that it receives and sends on another (less crowded) drive?

what steps would be involved in implementing that?

thanks for any feedback!

You can do that using a symbolic link. Copy the Mail folder to another drive and delete it in its original location. Then in Terminal

Code:
ln -s /Volumes/<AnotherHardDrive>/Mail ~/Library/
