I need to move old AppleScript apps and .scpt files created in Script Editor in Yosemite or older.

Is there any benefits if i open script in El Capitan Script Editor and click Compile Script button then save it?

What if i even create new window in Script Editor and paste old script to there then save it?

There have been changes in AppleScript over the years, so depending on how old the scripts are, you might want to look at archiving them as plain text (.applescript) rather than as a compiled script. This also has the advantage of keeping terminology in the script for older applications where the scripting dictionary has changed, or for applications you no longer have installed.
