Moving pictures from iPhone to Windows 10 PC

Okay, now is my question. I have an iPhone 6s and want to move photos off the iPhone to a WIN 10 PC where I keep a major photo database. I can connect the PC to the iPhone but nothing I try seems to "find" the pictures so I can move them (copy them and then delete them) from the iPhone to the PC.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

I had not but have now. I tried both methods. I finally got one to work (via the iCloud), Sloooow but it worked.
Where can I go to get this type of information?
