Moving The Cursor Within A Text Message?

if i'm writing a lengthy text message and need to move the cursor up a few sentances how do you do it?

Is the only way by tapping the creen to approximately where you want the cursor to be?....I have fat fingers so this is tricky, is there no manual move key without deleting text?

This is how you do it:

1. Touch your fingertip on the message and leave it there
2. After a few seconds, you will get a magnification bubble with the text cursor in it
3. You can now slide that bubble and cursor to where you want to insert the text, or to the end of the text that you want to delete using the <X key
