Hi all, i have a late 2015 27 inch iMac , about 2 years ago i took the plunge and opened it up to install 2x samsung evo 4tb s.s.d, these had to go into a caddy and configured for raid 0, in disk utility they are still seen as rotational drives which does not concern me too much, i also have time machine backing up the computer, my question(s) is if i move to big sur will my raid 0 config: be supported? will the file system change to a.p.f.s., will time machine still back up? i have read on other sites differing views on this, any advice would be appreciated , thanks,

You can give this a shot, but it never worked for me with Mojave or Catalina. Could also be my technical skill is lacking too.

At the time of output mac os 10.13 was removed support for boot from RAID 0 drives.

hi jack , thanks , im actually wondering if it might be "easier" to buy a 8tb ssd now they are a "bit " cheaper, i would have to open the iMac again obviously ! but i managed it before
