Hi everyone, I saw this new app Moyotalk and it is free until Sept. 22 and was wondering if I was missing something. Maybe someone can clarify it if i am wrong about the app. A few of my friends with iphones do not have unlimited texting. I do and i love to text but i hate wasting their text.

So If i added this app and they added the same app we could text each other using this program and the text we send to each other through this app wont count toward normal texting?

If anyone has used this app please let me now how it is. I think it would be a great way to text my iphone friends that dont have unlimited texting.
Thanks.

I think it would kind of suck without Apple's Push Service as even though you can send messages/pictures as part of your data plan instead of using texts through the app to others with the app your friends wouldn't know they would have a new message unless they opened the application so it is a pretty poor substitute!

It makes me wonder though how people can justify the cost of an iPhone, voice plan and data plan but not any sort of text plan...

MoyoTalk uses your phones data to send and receive messages, so it is totally free to use since every iPhone user has unlimited data. MoyoTalk uses your phone nr to send and receive messages so you don't need to create an account.
So i you have some iPhone buddies you should give MoyoTalk a shot. Let them all install it and you can send text and pictures to each others.

MoyoTalk will be released to BlackBerry phones in early October. MoyoTalk will cover all the major phones in the end of this year.

But this app will alert us like when we receive a normal text? Or do we need to open the app to check? Because if the only way we know if we get a new text from moyotalk is if we have to open up the app that doesn't really help much. I dont want to have to check ever few minutes or miss a text if i dont check.
