OK...

I got a super deal on a MP 1,1 2.66. This machine will be becoming a dedicated Video/Photo edit system. While not the newest system... it'll do for my needs.

I'm planning to do an internal hardware sata raid with a reasonably priced setup...

4x 2TB or 3TB drives @ RAID 5 (I'll use my boot drive through the spare 5.25 slot.)

HighPoint RocketRAID 2640X4 SGL PCI-Express x4 SATA / SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) Controller Card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...e=highpoint_rocketraid-_-16-115-094-_-Product

How do I connect the four drives to the RAID controller for the easiest/cheapest?

I'm not going to roll with the crazy priced APPLE controller. This is all about a relatively cheap system/setup.

Thanks to all for their thoughts/ideas/suggestions.

I'm bumping.

I need to figure out how to hook all four internal Sata drives together on a NON apple raid card.

Please help. Thanks.
