MP 1,1-5,1 MP 5,1 does not boot when Inatek KT4006 PCI USB 3.0 Card is installed

Hey guys,

I installed OCLP 0.4.2 and Bug Sur 11.6.4 on my Mac Pro 5,1 2010. When I install my Inatek KT4006 PCI USB 3.0 Card in Slot 3, macOS freezes on boot. I have not tried another slot yet. I think it should work OOB because macOS should have the drivers. In Mojave everything worked fine. On the Inatek website is no hint that it should not work on Big Sur.

Any ideas? Thank you!

Inatek KT4006 uses FL1100 chipset and should work fine in Big Sur (and Monterey.) The only thing I can think of that would cause a problem is that in slot 3 is on a PCIe bridge with slot 4 and so PCIe 3.0 devices can cause problems in that slot. And that problem should have been fixed by upgrading to the 144.0.0.0.0 firmware. Try another slot.
