I have been looking into getting a help desk job at home. What would be a better device for such a job? Would a Mac mini suffice for hardware or would it lack for performance?
Thanks all

It will depend on exactly what the job entails, but I suspect that you'll find screen real estate more important than the details of the processor or memory. If you have to run test cases on your machine, that would change things, of course.

Lacking any other info, I'd be tempted to recommend an iMac.

Mini is going to be fine. If you're looking for an excuse to buy a kickin' computer, get whatever you want.

I admin upwards of 150 Macs and 2 Mac servers from a baseline 11" MacBook Air with a 20" external display. The display makes the biggest difference.
