Hi,

have others the same feeling? When I wake up the MP 7,1 it takes 19 seconds until the screen is usable. With the 5K it was faster but not so fast as with the 6,1.
PRAM reset makes no difference.

Is it only my machine?

My MP is a 12core with Vega II 32Gb, XDR connected to the Vega

I’m experiencing similar delay with other brand monitor as well.

I will do some more testing soon but my Dell monitor, connected via Display Port, wakes up sooner than other monitor connected via USB-C.

I wonder if it isn’t a USB-C connection that needs to be blamed?

"When you turn on your Mac, various apps, add-ons (such as menu extras), and invisible background processes open by themselves. Usually these automated actions are exactly what you want, but you may sometimes see items running—either visibly or according to a listing in Activity Monitor (located in /Applications/Utilities)—that you don’t recall adding yourself. Where do they come from? Because such items can increase your Mac’s startup time (and may decrease its performance), you’ll want your machine to load only items that are useful to you."

Update: From the moment the power button was pushed until the password screen showed:
51.70 seconds.
