recently sold my MP3,1. i forgot that i had 2x1GB of the original ECC RAM (FB-DIMMs).
as i recall, one chip may have been giving errors. can't remember why i pulled it. unfortunately i no longer have the machine to test it out.
i'm certain one of the chips is fine, and i'd give the 2nd one a 50% chance.
