I have a sony icrecorder that records mp3s. I want to put the lectures on my iphone, but the only issue is that each 50 minute lecture is 90mb large. Is there a way I can dramatically decrease this so that it will be reasonable to have all my lectures on my iphone

If you use iTunes: After recording, import and then in Preferences > Import Settings > choose a lower bitrate. For lectures, you don't need high quality. 48 kbps will sound okay. Then right click the file and "Create MP3 Version." Then delete the original file.

There are a lot of other programs that do this as well.
