MP3 mixing app?

The missus does figure skating and she wants to mix a bunch of tracks that we have on MP3 (in iTunes) together - for her ice time.

At first I thought Garage Band would do this, but having had a quick look, it doesn't appear to allow you to import MP3's, mix and then export as a single MP3.

Anyone suggest an application that will suit our needs - preferably with an easy to use UI and some intergration with iTunes, to make finding MP3's simple?

Mixing Apps

Garage band will do what you want. To get files into Garage Band, create an audio track then drag your file onto the time line of that track. I tried an AIF file and a MP3 before making this post, just to make sure.
The following is from the Garage Band help Documents.

"You can export a song to an iTunes playlist, then play your exported songs in iTunes, download them to an iPod, or burn the playlist to a CD. Files are exported to iTunes in AIFF format. You can convert the exported file to another format, such as AAC or MP3, from within iTunes.

Choose File > Export to iTunes. The entire song, from the beginning (measure 1) to the end of the last region, is exported.
If the cycle region is turned on when you export the song, the part of the timeline from the start to the end of the cycle region is exported. "

You can set the name of the iTunes playlist to which files will be exported, and also set the name of the album and composer, in the Export pane of GarageBand Preferences. You can also choose whether to share the exported file with other users on your computer.

Cubase, Logic Express, Pro Tools (new $300.00 version), MOTU, Apple Soundtrack, and Adobe Premiere are all more powerful Apps but cost more.

You might want to try audacity. Though, it doesn't integrate with iTunes, iTunes files are pertty easy to navigate.

I have 2 options for you.

1)Quicktime pro. It's the easiest way of doing it. As simple as copy-paste
2)amadeus. Which also includes various plugins. You should check this out.
